Maui Scuba Diving is an experience you won't forget. Maui's Best Dives are just off the shoreline or just minutes by boat from Lahaina to it's neighboring islands that have many famous sites which are visited by scuba divers each year. The dive sites accessed from the shoreline from Maui are as good as most of the sites accessed by boat. AIRPORT BEACH is a great dive for beginner as well as novice divers. It offers ease for parking and ocean access is very easy. The park has picnic facilities as well as Public Restrooms. The Reef is just fifteen feet away from the beach. BLACK ROCK is another fantastic shore dive. The rock is horse shoe shaped and extends about 50 feet above the surface of the water. It goes to a depth of around 35 feet. On this dive you will see many species of fish, ell, Turtles and an occasional Eagle Ray. MOLOKINI CRATER is one of Hawaii's Marine Conservation Area's. This dive is accessed by boat. The trip takes 45 minutes to one hour from Maui's Lahaina Harbor. Here one can see just about anything going by while diving. At times large Mantas frequent the area. CATHEDRALS is another famous dive. Accessed by boat the trip takes about 45 minutes from Lahaina Harbor to the Island of Lanai. Here the lava formation is massive. On this dive expect to see formations that you will only experience in Hawaii. KAPALUA BAY is another of Maui's fantastic shore dives. The entry and exit from the water is easy and smooth. This is a protected bay where the diving is great. Expect to see lava and coral formations 20-25 feet high in some areas of the Bay. Many species of fish, eel and turtles frequent the area.
