There are many more Maui dive sites not shown here. These sites are the most popular dive sites visited by our visitors. Each dive site has its own unique feature and should be dove with a guide if you have not dove here before. Some entries are tricky but well worth the effort. These shore dives are to depths of 40-50 feet. In Hawaii, this is where you will encounter "most" of the marine life. As you go to the deeper reefs by boat, the marine life seems to thin drastically. On the boat dives you will see some of our great lava formations only seen here in Hawaii. We have tried to give the best explanation about each of the sites. When you click on the site, the photo will show just what to expect of the entry and beaches. These sites are best visited when going with a dive guide to show you where the best area of the site is. If you venture out on your own there are no guarantees that you will see the "best" areas of that particular site. The same holds true if you go on a boat dive and venture out on your own, (no difference). Our dive guides have been diving these reefs for many years and are very knowledgeable about them. These sites are filled with many species of fish, some that are endemic (only seen in Hawaii) to our waters. Turtles, eels, eagle rays, white tip reef sharks and occasional dolphins are seen on these shore dives. Each shore dive takes about 1.5 hours from beginning to end.
